Lois Treadway

March 16, 1944 — November 25, 2014

Lois Treadway (born Alois Etta Palmer) passed away at Danbury Hospital on November 25, 2014 at the golden age of 70. She was born in Norwalk on March 16, 1944 and graduated from Port Chester High School in Port Chester, NY Class of 1963. Lois worked at Minute Men cleaners in Westport for many years. After her tenure at the cleaners she spent most of her time as a recognized Volunteer for Lifeline in Norwalk and was a dedicated Bell Ringer for the Salvation Army during the holidays. Her greatest joy was her family, she had a huge heart of gold, undeniable compassion for anyone she met no matter what the circumstances were, enjoyed playing Bingo and was a faithful member of Bethany Baptist Church in Stamford, CT and Parkway Assembly of God in Norwalk, CT during her earlier years. Lois's good nature, kindness, personality, comedic demeanor and gift of love will live on forever through her family, friends and the lives she touched. Lois and her family appreciated and thank all the caregivers and agencies that were in her life. A very special thanks to those with have helped her since July 2014: Nurse Margaret Marrow, Fanny, Betty, Denise Fiorillo of Sandy Hook, Associated Pulmonologists Dr. Larry Wasser & staff in Brookfield, Danbury Hospital and River Glen Health Care Center's entire staff located in Southbury, CT. Survived by her beloved daughter & son-in-law Mary and James M. Pearson, Sr of Newtown, CT. Grandchildren James Jr and Rebecca Pearson. Beloved Family Member Betty Pearson. Siblings: Ward & Joy Palmer, Sr., Bernadette "Bunny" Palmer, Louise & Joe Willette, Charmaine Letendre, Peggy & Paul Raymond and Charles Palmer, Jr. Along with many nieces, nephews and cousins. Pre-Deceased by her mother Maybelle Heney, parents Charles & Bernadette Palmer, sister Ella-Mae Romsky and brother William A. Palmer, Sr. Services will be held on Monday, December 1, 2014 from 4:00 to 7:00 PM at Norwalk's Hoyt Cognetta Funeral Home & Crematory, 5 East Wall Street in Norwalk Connecticut. Burial will take place on Tuesday, December 2, 2014 at Riverside Cemetery, 81 Riverside Avenue, Norwalk Connecticut at 11:00 AM.
