MIDDLETOWN/NORWALK, CONN Lisa Ann Kydes, 53, of Middletown, a Norwalk Native, died Tuesday, January 24, 2012 at MidState Medical Center, Meriden after a brief illness. Lisa was born on November 2, 1958 to the late Evelyn (Palmer) Kydes and Andrew Kydes. A graduate of Norwalk schools and Southern Connecticut State University, she was employed as an education assistant at Gateway Community College in New Haven. She is survived by her domestic partner of seven years, Crystal Downs of Middletown; her four brothers and their families: James Czel of Bethel, Scott Kydes of Lighthouse Point, FL, Tracey Kydes of Norwalk and Craig Kydes of Milford; several aunts and uncles: Everett & Helen Palmer and Leonard Palmer of Norwalk, Dorothy Prybylski of New Milford and Georgia Efstathiades of Port Charlotte, FL; as well as many cousins. The family will receive relatives and friends on Sunday, January 29, 2012 in Norwalk's Hoyt-Cognetta Funeral Home & Crematory, 5 East Wall Street from 3:00PM - 5:00PM. Lisa's funeral service will be held at 10:00AM on Monday, January 30, 2012 in Saint George Greek Orthodox Church, 238 West Rocks Road, Norwalk. Please arrive directly to church, starting at 9:30AM.
