Lillian Dorothy Romaine quietly passed away in her home on March 07, 2012. Lillian was predeceased by her husband Hans by one month. Lillian Dorothy Romaine was born in Bronx, NY. She attended the Laguardia School Of Music & Arts and became a Technical Illustrator. Lillian loved life, music and the arts. She married Hans Romaine and moved to Norwalk, CT where she lived for over 20 years and then moved to Wilton in 2007. Lillian had a passion for ballroom dancing and won many competitions. Lillian volunteered countless hours to the Treasure House in Norwalk. Lillian is survived by her sister, Edna Williams on Long Island, nephews Erik & Scott Schlenker, niece Kaite Hendrix. For over thirty five years Lillian was a surrogate parent, grandparent and great grandparent, respectively, for Julia Arvan of Milford, CT, Lori Kaine of Wilton, CT husband Ken Kaine, children Jason Risola, Nicholas Risola and Alexsis Kaine, Steven Arvan of Stamford, CT wife Michelle Arvan, children Zoe Arvan and Haley Arvan , Carissa McMahon of Ridgefield CT husband Bill McMahon and especially for her very special, Zachary Arvan of Milford,CT. Lillian was adorded by so many people and her generous love will be missed. Friends may call on Friday, 3/9 2:00-4:00 PM at Norwalk's Hoyt Cognetta Funeral Home & Crematory, 5 East Wall Street Norwalk Ct.
