Larry Rowe, 66 of Norwalk, CT passed away on December 27, 2017 at Norwalk Hospital surrounded by family and loved ones. He fought fiercely for fours years in his battle with pancreatic cancer. Mr. Rowe was born December 30, 1950 in Camp Hill, Alabama. He was a U.S. Army Veteran of the Vietnam War. After 28 years of service, Larry retired from his position as Executive Chef at Pitney Bowes. Larry was preceded in death by his parents, Ethel Mae Smith-Rowe and Wilbur Rowe.
Larry is survived by his wife, Nancy, and his two children, Adrienne and Brian; four siblings, Wilbur (Bernice) Rowe of Dadeville, AL, Clara (Larry) Heard of Camp Hill, AL, Albert (Geraldine) Rowe of Dadeville, AL, and Shirley (William) Sullivan of Camp Hill, AL; two uncles: Willie (Maxine) Smith of Camp Hill, AL and James Smith of Winterville, NC; three aunts: Lucille Holston of Camp Hill, AL, Ruthie (Willie) Green of Milford, CT, and Marilyn Smith of Charlotte, NC; two sisters-in-law, Patricia Carbone and Mary Mazerolle; one brother-in-law: James Carbone; eleven nieces and nephews and twelve great nieces and nephews; extended family: Lucia Horvath, Sasha Smith, The Mattera, Castorina, Correa/Melendez and Koskorelos families, his Pitney Bowes family and a host of other friends and loved ones. A memorial service will be held on January 6, 2018 from 11am-2pm at Hoyt-Cognetta Funeral Home, 5 East Wall Street, Norwalk. Military honor service will begin at 1:45pm.
