NORWALK, CONN Kristofer Joseph Moses Arnold of Norwalk passed away on Sunday, July 19, 2009 in Norwalk Hospital, following a courageous lifelong battle with MPS. He was 27. Born in Norwalk on December 06, 1981, Kris was a lifelong resident and graduated with Honors from Brien McMahon High School in 2000. He continued his education at Norwalk Community College. Kris was an avid sports fan who enjoyed the New York Yankees and the Dallas Cowboys. He also enjoyed watching NASCAR and wrestling. Kris loved to travel, especially to Ocean City, MD. He was an inspiration to those he met and touched countless lives. He will be sorely missed by all. He is survived by his mother, Sherrie Arnold Roman and her husband, (Kris' bonus dad) Tony of Norwalk; his father, Robert "Arnie" Arnold and his wife, Lissa of Norwalk; his maternal grandmother, Mary (Schumacher) Hughes of Norwalk; two half brothers, Joshua and Alexander Arnold, both of Norwalk; two "bonus" sisters, Cindy Visnic of Orange and Patrese DeCesare of Germantown, MD; his Uncles, Bill Jr. and his wife, Marge Hughes of Norwalk, Mike and his wife, Maria Hughes, and their children, Michael and Dylan, all of Norwalk, Walter and Artie Arnold and their respective families; two very good friends, Maggie and Bob Iannacone of Stratford; his caretaker and nurse, Juana I. Andino, LPN and not to be forgotten, his beloved dog, Peanut. Preceded in death were a half brother, Jason Arnold; paternal grandparents, Bud and Cecilia (Mills) Arnold; maternal grandfather, Bill Hughes Sr. and an uncle, Cliff Hughes. Kris' family will receive relatives and friends on Tuesday, July 21, 2009 in Norwalk's Hoyt-Cognetta Funeral Home & Crematory, 5 East Wall Street from 4:00PM - 8:00PM. His funeral will be held on Wednesday, July 22, 2009 at 9:15AM from the parlor, when the funeral cortege will proceed to St. Matthew R.C. Church, 216 Scribner Avenue, Norwalk, where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00AM. Monsignor Walter C. Orlowski will officiate. Interment in St. John Cemetery, Norwalk will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to: National MPS Society, PO BOX 14686, Durham, NC, 27709-4686.
