Resident of Norwalk Kevin J. Byrne, age 71, beloved husband of Jeanne Byrne of Norwalk, passed away July 22, 2014 peacefully in his home. He was born on November 29, 1942 in The Bronx. Kevin began his life of wholesome service in The U.S. Navy and after was hired by Metro North Rail Road as a Tower Operator. Kevin had a talent of speaking few words, yet placed meaning in each one. The true testament, however, of his altruistic nature could be found in his actions every day. In addition to his loving wife Jeanne, he is survived by a son William DeGaetano and two daughters Cara DeGaetano & Lucy Fuentes; three brothers Eddie, Dennis & Patrick Byrne; three grandchildren, Sarah and Robby Fuentes and Bill DeGaetano Jr., and several nieces and nephews. Services will be private and at the convenience of his family. Norwalk's Hoyt-Cognetta Funeral Home & Crematory, 5 East Wall Street has been entrusted with arrangements.
