Kenneth Bria

July 8, 1950 — June 11, 2013

Kenneth F. Bria, a longtime resident of Norwalk, passed away comfortably in his home on Tuesday, June 11. He was 62. Born in Stamford on July 8, 1950, to the late Frank Bria and Josephine D'Ienzo, Kenny enjoyed nothing more than spending time with his loving wife, Sandy Bria, and adoring daughter, Kendra Bria. Kenny's zest for life and compassionate personality would light up any room he stepped foot in, and when he wasn't whipping up a masterpiece spread, the top chef enjoyed getting away to Florida with close family friends and rooting for his NY Giants and UConn women's basketball team. Ken was a proud Veteran having served in the U.S. Navy Reserve. In addition to Sandy and Kendra, Kenny is also survived by his brother Richard Bria and sister-in-law Donna Bria, and brother Robert Bria and sister-in-law Maureen Bria. Kenny was also survived by his sister in law Barbara Lovallo and brother-in-law Jimmy Lovallo. He had many loving nieces and nephews. The family would like to extend its deepest appreciation to the doctors and nurses at the Stamford Hospital for all of their professional care and support over the last few months. In addition, the family would like to thank the Visiting Nurse & Hospice of Fairfield County, who provided him with tremendous support and care so that he could be at home with his family. If you would like to say goodbye and celebrate the wonderful life of Kenny, the family will host calling hours at Norwalk's Hoyt-Cognetta Funeral Home & Crematory, 5 East Wall Street, Friday, June 14, 2013 from 5:30 to 8:00pm. Interment will be private. Donations may be made in Ken's name to the charity of one's choice. Please visit www.norwalkfh.com for more information and to send a condolence to the Bria family
