SILVERMINE, CONN Kathy Ann Lacouture, affectionately known as "Kathy Sky", 58 years young, passed away September 7, 2010. Born May 12, 1952 in Milford, CT., she was the daughter of Ethel Yanosky and the late Robert Yanosky. After high school she traveled to Hawaii and Lake Lousie, BC. She entertained friends, family and clubs with folk music on her Martin guitar. Kathy and Bob, her husband of 28 years, met at a club where she was singing in her home town of Milford, CT. Kathy and Bob have been residents of Silvermine, CT for 18 years and members SCA and NASH. Kathy was on the SCA board for a term and always made contributions to the SCA scholarship fund. Having a vision for high end floral décor and event planning she started her own business, "FLEURS". Her goal was to have her client's dreams come true. Kathy is survived by her loving husband, Bob; mother, Ethel; two sisters, Shirley Barton and Patricia Yanosky; brother, Robert, and other loving relatives. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations be made in Kathy's name to any Hospice Care of your choice. A memorial service for immediate family will be held in Florida over the Thanksgiving holidays. The date for a local celebration of life is yet to be determined. People will richly remember Kathy Sky for her kindness, generosity, ability to listen and share, laughter, joy, creativity, and loving heart.
