MILFORD, CONN / NORWALK, CT MILFORD, CONN Karen P. (Jaxheimer) Bartolutti of Milford, former longtime resident of Norwalk, passed away on the 18th day, December 2010 at Candlewood Valley Rehabilitation Center, following an illness. She was 68. Born in Norwalk on August 27, 1942, Karen was the daughter of the late Archibald H. and Kathleen A. (Buss) Jaxheimer. She worked as a housekeeper at Masonic Care in Newtown for several years, until her illness. Prior to that, she worked in the bakery at Pepperidge Farm for over twenty years. Karen enjoyed the outdoors, especially the beach. She also loved to garden, cook and travel. But her passion was surrounding herself with her grandchildren, as family meant so much to her. She was a wonderful loving lady who will be missed by many. She is survived by her husband, Joseph J. Bartolutti of fourteen years; two sons, Eugene S. Jr. and his wife, Barbara Johnson of Norwalk and David S. Johnson of Stratford; a daughter, Kathleen and her husband, Jack Baird of New Milford; two step-daughters, Nina and her husband, Walter Nash and Erin Bartolutti, all of Atlanta, GA; a brother, Bruce Jaxheimer of Bozrah, CT; a sister, Kirsten Purdie of Danbury; six grandchildren; several nieces and nephews and long-time friends Ralph and Alberto. Karen's family will receive relatives and friends on the 22nd day, December 2010 in Norwalk's Hoyt-Cognetta Funeral Home & Crematory, 5 East Wall Street from 4:00PM - 7:00PM. A graveside service will be held at 10:00AM on the 23rd day, December 2010 in Riverside Cemetery, Norwalk. Memorial contributions may be made in Karen's name to the American Cancer Society.
