June Sauer

in Wilton Meadows, Wilton, Connecticut. She was born in Lewisburg, Ohio on May 22, 1922, to Charles Herbert and Maud (Riley) Douglass.

She was a graduate of Lewisburg Union High School and attended the Dayton Art Institute in Dayton, Ohio. She was a loving Mother and homemaker.  Later in life she worked for Rikes in cosmetics. She moved to Connecticut in 1987 to be with her family. She moved to Wilton Meadows in 2015 and she enjoyed meeting new friends, creating art and playing bingo.

She is survived by her daughter, Victoria Douglass, her life partner, Terry Alan Wade  her son, Douglas Sauer, 2 grandchildren, Nikole Koons MacDonald, Jereme ( Andrea) Koons, great grandchildren, Madeline and Jackson, Ashlynn and Tyler,

sisters, Nora Jane Douglass James and Alberta Douglass Wehrly, nieces, Sande Douglass (Philip) Hopf, son, Todd ( Kristie) Hopf and children, Ashleigh, Laurel, Ardyn and Lillie. Amy (Douglass) Hopf, David Hill, life partner, and children, Sarah Coffee and Emily Hockman. Ellen James Green, daughter, Erica, and son, David, Lou Ann Wehrly (Skip) Sparks , and daughter, Aleah. Suzanne Wehrly, and son, Ethan.

She was preceded in death by the Father of Victoria and Douglas, Hugh C. Sauer, her parents and brother, Doyle D. Douglass, niece, Marsha Douglass Mt Castle.

Private Family Memorial will be held at Hoyt-Cognetta Funeral Home in Norwalk, Connecticut. In lieu of flowers a donation to Alzheimer's and Dementia organization, of your choice, will be greatly appreciated.
