Joseph E. Clavin age 79, beloved husband of Anita Clavin of Norwalk, passed away on December 4, 2014 in Norwalk Hospital. Mr. Clavin was born on June 15, 1935 in Bronx, NY and was the son of Edward and Agnes Clavin. He was a proud veteran and served during the Korean War in the U.S. Air Force. Joseph was a member of the American Legion and a past Commander of Post 8 in New Rochelle, New York. He was a retired Salesman for AT&T. Joseph was an active member of St. Matthew Parish in Norwalk and had served for many years as a Eucharistic minister. He was also a member of St. Matthew's New Horizons Club, where he had many dear friends. Survivors in addition to his loving wife include his beloved children, Adam Clavin of Norwalk, Ginni DuBois and Robert Clavin both of New York State and Christie Clay of Florida, as well as two grandchildren, Brandon and Jacquelyn, also of Florida. Friends are invited to greet the family on Tuesday December 9, 2014 from 4:00 to 8:00 PM in Norwalk's Hoyt-Cognetta Funeral Home, 5 East Wall Street. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday December 10, 2014 at 10:00 AM at St. Matthews Church, 216 Scribner Ave, Norwalk. Military Honors will follow.
