NORWALK, CONN Joseph Berrios of Norwalk passed away on Saturday, September 11, 2010 in his home, after being stricken ill. He was 45. He was the beloved husband to Jill (Frattalone) Berrios of nine years. Born in Brooklyn, NY on September 28, 1964 Joe was the son of Miriam Torres of Stamford and the late Joseph A. Berrios, Jr. He was a 1982 graduate of the JM Wright Technical School of Stamford. He and his family relocated to Stamford in 1976. Joe recently worked as a truck driver at Jim Waters Corp of Bridgeport and was also a driver and a warehouse manager at the Stamford Windustrial of Stamford for thirteen years. He was an avid fisherman who frequented the Stamford Cove and Mt. Kisco, NY and the Maritime Center. Joe was also an avid bowler and belonged to a league at Rip Van Winkle. He enjoyed coaching for the Cranbury Baseball's My Three Sons team. But most of all, his passion and love was his family and will be missed by all. Along with his beloved wife, Joe is survived by his mother, Miriam Berrios and her companion, Raymond Knebel, both of Stamford; his loving sons, Joseph Angel and Jason Michael Berrios of Norwalk; his brother, Adam and his wife, Elizabeth Ann Berrios of Stamford; his inlaws, Michael and Susan (Cocchia) Frattalone (formerly of Stamford) of Bridgewater, Conn; many nieces, nephews and friends. The Berrios family will receive relatives and friends on Monday, September 13, 2010 in Norwalk's Hoyt-Cognetta Funeral Home & Crematory, 5 East Wall Street from 5:00PM - 8:00PM. His funeral will be held on Tuesday, September 14, 2010 at 9:20AM from the parlor, where the funeral cortege will proceed to St. Thomas the Apostle R.C. Church, 203 East Avenue, where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00AM. Interment will be held privately, at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made directly to the family for his children's future college education. Please make payable to: "Jill Berrios".
