John R. Soderholm

John Roger Soderholm was born on March 5th, 1966 at St. Vincent’s Medical Center in Bridgeport Connecticut. On June 28th, 2020 at 11:30pm John took his last breath in the care of his immediate family & the same hospital that brought him into this world - John was only 54 years young.

Many people will remember John for his pure heart. A heart with a truly kind and loving purpose. John was the father to three beautiful children Craig, Allison, and Alex. He shared that love with not just his children, but with his wife Karen Soderholm and many friends who loved him for his one of a kind personality. John always strived to bring a smile to the faces of all those who brought a smile to his own .

One of John’s favorite thing to do was to be near the water. From opening day to the bluefish contest, John managed to share his passion with everyone around him. Whenever he was fishing his smile stretched from ear to ear. He found comfort in being with nature and most importantly his beloved dog Tootsie.

Today, we remember John for the man that he was, the kind heart he had, and the lessons he gave us all. As we celebrate his life, we celebrate the freedom he has finally found. Let us continue to remember all the wonderful memories John gave no us.
