John L. Pease of Norwalk, CT, passed away December 14th at the age of 96. He was pre-deceased by his wife of 70 years, Grace I. Pease.
John is survived by son Michael Pease of Maplewood, NJ, his wife Valerie and their two children, Tyler and Ali; son Kevin Pease of Norwalk, CT, and his wife Anouvone; and daughter Bonnie Pease of Allentown, PA. In addition, John leaves behind granddaughter Jessica Cell of Los Angeles CA, her husband Steve, and their son Frank; granddaughter Lynda Piazza-Palotto of Norwalk, CT, her husband Sal and their two children Nicolas and Sofia; and granddaughter Laura Phanphiarith, also of Norwalk, CT, and her fiancé Darren Rosengarten.
John met his bride through the youth group at Norwalk United Methodist Church. They were wed in 1942 just before he left for WWII, sang in the church choir together for over 60 years, and would remain married for 70 years until Grace’s passing.
The family will be honoring their loving father with a memorial service to be held on December 28th at 1:00 pm in the sanctuary of the Cornerstone Community Church, formerly known as the Norwalk United Methodist Church. Following a brief greeting at the back of the church, the immediate family will go directly to the cemetery for the burial.
