NORWALK, CONN Joan M. Franz age 77 of Norwalk entered into rest on Wednesday, April 6, 2011. She was born in Norwalk, April 20, 1933, daughter of the late Walter and Margaret Kinneavy Franz, and was a lifelong resident of Norwalk. She was a retired inspector from MBI and was also employed by Norden Systems for many years. She enjoyed playing BINGO at St. Joseph's Church for many years. She was the loving sister to Janet McGuirk of Norwalk, the late Walter Franz and the late Melitta Kazzi. She was beloved Aunt of Stephen Kazzi, Paul Kazzi, Christine and Gale Molnar, Lisa and Manfred Schlaich all of Shelton - Sheila and Bill King of Rutland, VT and Brian and Toni Franz of England and Keith and Ann Franz of New York. She also had 10 great nieces and Nephews and 1 great-great niece. She cherished her family but her most Precious Gift was that of her nephew Paul, whom she loved more than life itself. For this reason the family requests that in lieu of flowers memorial contributions be made to the Shelton Group Home, 149 Hillside Avenue, Shelton, CT 06484. The family will receive friends on Monday, April 11, 2011 in Norwalk's Hoyt-Cognetta Funeral Home & Crematory, 5 East Wall Street from 4:00PM - 7:00PM. A private burial in Riverside Cemetery will be held at the convenience of the family. The Rev's Gilbert P. D'Souza and Frantz Desruisseaux of St. Joseph R.C. Church will concelebrate.
