Jean Morgan-Porzl (nee Maier), 81, formerly of Aberdeen, NJ, passed away peacefully on September 28, 2012 at the Ludlowe Center in Fairfield, CT. Jean was born on July 4, 1931 in and grew up in Union Beach, NJ. She was a graduate of Keyport High School and attended Douglas College/Rutgers University. Jean worked for 18 years as a sales associate for JC Penney. She retired and moved to Chincoteague, VA in 1993 and spent much of her time volunteering at the Christ United Methodist Church in Chincoteague. Jean is predeceased by her husband Ken Porzl of VA, parents, Gladys & Alfred Maier of NJ and sister, Lois Smolarz of NY. She is survived by daughter Patty Morgan and son-in-law Ed Lum of CT, daughter Jeri Morgan of NY and stepchildren Sharon Porzl of FL and Kenny Porzl of NJ. Interment was held at Glendale Cemetery, Bloomfield, NJ on October 23, 2012, and a memorial service will be at the Community Church of Keyport, Keyport, NJ on November 3, 2012 at 12 Noon.
