Jason R. Swaim

Jason R. Swaim, formerly of Norwalk, passed away suddenly on September 11, 2019 at the age of 39.  Jason was born on May 11, 1980 and was the son of Marilyn Parenty Swaim and the late John E. Swaim, Sr.

Jason attended Norwalk High School and then Porter and Chester, and worked as an HVAC technician.  He was a loving son, brother, uncle and friend.  He was an avid NY Jets fan and a Civil War history buff.  He enjoyed campfires and the great outdoors, and he loved to make people laugh.

Jason is survived by his mother, Marilyn Parenty Swaim, of Sandy Hook, a brother, John Swaim, Jr. of Sandy Hook, two sisters; Lisa A. and husband Angelo Palmieri, Sr., of Seymour, Kathleen M. Walker of Cypress, TX, and his dear nieces and nephews; Angelo Palmieri, Jr., Daniel Palmieri, Ashlyn Walker, Austin Walker, Alyssa Walker, Angelo Palmieri III, and Andriana Palmieri.

The family will receive friends on Friday, September 13, 2019 from 10:00 a.m. until noon at the Hoyt-Cognetta/Raymond Funeral Home, 5 East Wall Street, in Historic Norwalk.  Prayer Service will begin at 12:00 p.m. The Reverend Timothy R. Kuhn will officiate.  Interment will follow at Riverside Cemetery, Norwalk.
