James Sweet

James H. Sweet, born on March 2nd, 1934, died peacefully at the age of 89 at Wilton Meadows Nursing and Rehabilitation, Wilton CT, on May 22, 2023.  He was the husband of Palma Sweet of Norwalk.  James (Jimmy) lived a wonderful life as a husband and father.  He enjoyed a long career at the 2nd District Water Company in Norwalk CT.  Jimmy loved to be at the horse ranch back in the day tending to the needs of the horses and upkeep of the ranch.  His love for the water had him out on Long Island Sound with friends and family for many years.  He and his brothers getting together at the boat clubs and bringing together all the aunts, uncles and cousins was a big part of his life.  He spent many summers fishing and camping with family and instilling the joy of the simple things in life with everyone who knew him.

James is survived by his children Daniel Sweet and wife Denise of Bethel. Todd Sweet and wife Sheila of Cheshire. Pam Dexter and Husband Dave of Stafford Springs. Dawn Mace and Husband Rit of Norwalk.  James is also survived by his stepchildren, Fr. Ralph Segura. Diane Watson, Mike Segura, and Christine Ruiz.  James loved and leaves behind many grandchildren and great grandchildren.  Mr. Sweets family will receive relatives and friends at Raymond Funeral Home, 5 East Wall St, Norwalk, CT, on Saturday, June 3rd, from 9:00am to 11:00 pm.  Internment will follow immediately at St. John’s Cemetery on Richard’s Avenue, Norwalk CT.  In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association.
