James F. Heber of Wilton, CT, passed away unexpectedly at home on Tuesday January 24, 2023. Jimmy was the beloved son of Edward and Margaret Schmit Heber. He is survived by his cherished wife of 25 years, Vicki, his daughter, Kayla, and his son, James and a brother, Frank.
Jimmy was born in Queens, NY on April 3, 1967 and grew up in Jackson Heights, NY. After graduation he moved to Connecticut to raise his family and spent almost 25 years working at the MTA before retiring. Jimmy was active with the neighborhood friends, played hockey and enjoyed snow skiing and riding his Harley in his younger years. He was always passionate about being outdoors, gardening and helping others. Jimmy was a dedicated hockey enthusiast, enjoyed watching his children play their sports and valued family time. His love for his children brought him to many gymnastic arenas and hockey rinks. His latest joy and how he spent most of his time was with the Fairfield Prep hockey family, watching his son James practice and play as goalie.
Jimmy was a caring husband, father and friend, his greatest love and affections always were for his family. His most treasured times were when the entire family was together.
Friends are invited to greet the family on Saturday January 28, 2023 from 1:00 till 6:00 pm in the Raymond Funeral Home, 5 East Wall Street in Historic Norwalk. A Memorial mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday at 11:00 am January 30, 2023 directly at Our Lady of Fatima Church, 229 Danbury Road in Wilton.
