Hernan Dario Bohorquez , beloved son, brother, uncle and partner passed away suddenly on February 9, 2017 in Stamford. Hernan is survived by his parents, Jaime and Ligia Bohorquez of Bogota, partner Michael Calomino, sister Martha Bohorquez, brother Jaime Humberto Bohorquez, mother-in-law Marcia Calomino, brother-in-law Edgar Bernal, sisters-in-law Allison Calomino (Steven Habetz) and Cindy Krom (Kenneth Krom), nieces Tatiana Anduckia (Ben Rose), Juliana Anduckia (Nate Slayton), Andrea Bernal, Daniela Bohorquez, Kailea Krom, nephews Bradley and Brett Mayer, dear friend Ellen Nardelli along with many beloved aunts, uncles and cousins.
Hernan led a life of service, committed to helping others in his work at Alpha Community Services YMCA. He was passionate about caring for children in his homeland of Colombia, and established the Rise and Walk Foundation, which provides at-risk children with after-school programs. He will be remembered for his generosity, his caring nature, his faith and the joy he brought to so many.
Friends are invited to greed the family on Wednesday February 15, 2017 from 10:00 to 11:00 AM at St. Paul’s Episcopal Church on the Green, 60 East Ave. Norwalk. Mass will begin at 11:00 AM. Interment will be private and at a later date. The Hoyt-Cognetta Funeral Home & Crematory has been entrusted with arrangements.
