Helene Lahaie passed away peacefully on Wednesday, July 29, 2026, at the age of 95.
Helene was the heart of her family—a kind, strong, and loving woman whose warmth touched everyone who knew her. She found great joy in knitting, and through her talent and generosity, she wrapped her family in love. Nearly everyone in the family has at least one of her handmade blankets, and many are fortunate enough to have several. These treasured gifts will forever serve as a comforting reminder of her love.
She also loved spending time with her daughters, whether it was taking scenic drives, going on trips, or simply enjoying outings together. Those moments created countless cherished memories that her family will hold close to their hearts forever.
Helene is survived by her four loving daughters: Joanne Lahaie, Gail Lahaie-Alvarado, Mary Gomez-Lahaie, and Christine Lahaie. She also leaves behind a beautiful legacy of 14 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren, and 9 great-great-grandchildren, all of whom were blessed by her love, kindness, and unwavering devotion to family.
She will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
Family and friends are invited to celebrate Helene's life on Thursday, August 6, 2026, from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m., with a prayer service beginning at 11:00 a.m., at Raymond Funeral Home, 5 East Wall Street, Norwalk, CT 06851.
Burial will immediately follow at St. John Cemetery, 223 Richards Avenue, Norwalk, CT 06850.
Although she is no longer with us, the love she shared, the blankets she lovingly made, and the memories she created with her family will continue to bring comfort for generations to come.
