DARIEN, CONN Helen Chudy Pataky of Darien, formerly of Boca Raton, FL died at her residence with her sister, Josephine Chudy Mitchell, and her niece, Diana Samuelson-Buttery, by her side. Born in Darien on May 26, 1924, she was the daughter of the late John and Susanna Chudy. She is survived by several nieces and nephews. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her husband Andy J. Pataky, four brothers, John, Joseph, Andrew and George Chudy and two sisters, Ann Polcer, and Margaret Samuelson. She was a member of Our Lady of Lourds Church in Boca Raton FL. She enjoyed dancing and singing at the Polish Club. Calling hours will be held on Monday, June 20, 2011 in Norwalk's Hoyt-Cognetta Funeral Home & Crematory, 5 East Wall Street from 10:15AM - 11:15AM. Her funeral will be held at the conclusion of calling hours, when the funeral cortege will proceed to St. Thomas More R.C. Church, 374 Middlesex Road, Darien, where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 12:00PM. Interment will follow in St. John Cemetery, Camp Ave, Darien.
