NORWALK, CONN Helen M. (Lockwood) Nemeth of Norwalk passed away on Tuesday, July 12, 2011 in Honey Hill Care Center, Norwalk following an illness. She was 92. Born in Bridgeport, Conn on November 02, 1918, Helen was the daughter of the late Frank and Teresa (Cuneo) Lockwood and attended local schools. Years ago, she worked as an assembler for various electronic manufacturing companies in the area. A Devout Catholic, Helen was a member of St. Mary's Church for many years. She was also a former member of the Norwalk Order of the Sons of Italy, Pietro Micca, Lodge #744. Helen was an avid traveler who enjoyed cross country, and was especially fond of Hawaii for its beauty. Her passion for gardening was evident, with her dedication to planting and nurturing of flowers, year after year. Helen is survived by several nieces and nephews. Preceding in death were two brothers, Frank and Lester Lockwood, Sr. Relatives and friends are invited to call to Norwalk's Hoyt-Cognetta Funeral Home & Crematory, 5 East Wall Street, on Saturday, July 16, 2011 from 9:30AM - 10:30AM. A funeral cortege will then proceed to St. Thomas the Apostle R.C. Church, 203 East Avenue, Norwalk, where a Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00AM. Interment will follow in St. John Cemetery, Norwalk. The family would like to extend their deepest gratitude to St. Thomas the Apostle R.C.
