Harold H. Tolles a lifelong Norwalk resident passed away peacefully at Norwalk Hospital after a brief illness on March 26, 2015. He was 97 years old, born on August 15, 1917 to the late Harold and Lottie Lockwood Tolles. After graduating from Norwalk High School, Harold enlisted with the United States Army Air Corps and served in WW II. Harold and his loving wife Mildred Henry Tolles together build a home and raised their family. Mr. & Mrs. Tolles resided in their home built out of love for 57 years. Harold was a life time member of the Free Masons Society as well as the Pyramid Shriners Club. He worked as an inspector for Nash Engineering Company until his retirement. He enjoyed camping with his family and after retiring, traveled with his wife in and outside the United States. He is survived by his wife of 68 years; his children Terry Tolles of Norwalk; Lauren Tolles Jayne of Wilton; Robert Tolles and wife Nancy of PA; William Tolles of Wilton; seven grandchildren and one great-grandchild. He was predeceased by his son-in-law Kenneth Jayne. Norwalk's Hoyt-Cognetta Funeral Home & Crematory, 5 East Wall Street has been entrusted with arrangements.
