STAMFORD, CONN Harbans Kochhar of Stamford passed away on Friday, January 29, 2010 in St. Camillus Rehabilitation Center of Stamford, following an illness. She was 88. Born on September 23, 1921, Harbans was the daughter of the late Harniranjan Das Kumar and Bhagdi Das. She attended local schools and graduated with a Masters in English. She is survived by two daughters, Anu Hooja of Stamford and Rohini Rathod of Englewood, NJ; four grandchildren and one great-grandson. Honoring Harban's wishes, all services will be held privately and at the convenience of the family. Memorial Contributions can be made to the Senior Neighborhood Support Services, 18 Quintard Terrace, Stamford, Conn 06902-3914 - Attn: Rev. Ogaltree.
