Haralampos "Bobby" Moisiadis

July 10, 1979 — March 17, 2025

It’s with profound sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved Haralampos Moisiadis who passed away peacefully on 3/17/2025.

Haralampos (Bobby) Moisiadis was born in Norwalk CT on July 10, 1979 to his loving parents Ioannis and Ioanna Moisiadis. Bobby had an enormous heart and shared kindness and love with everyone who crossed his path.  He was always one to lend a helping hand in any situation and he was generous in every way possible.  Bobby had an incredible personality and loved to make people laugh with his jokes.

While battling and defeating cancer as a teenager, he became deeply devoted to his faith which gave him strength throughout his life.  It inspired him to reframe his struggles in a positive light and live his life to its fullest with compassion and loyalty to everyone around him. A devoted athlete and sports fan, Bobby played baseball and football for Norwalk High School.  Bobby also enjoyed recreational basketball with friends and neighborhood children always gathering at his house to play ball.  From this passion for the sport and for others, Bobby created a community league and hosted large recreational tournaments that evolved into cherished community traditions and highly memorable events.  Bobby graduated with a Bachelor of Science and Master of Science degree from Fairfield University and transitioned into a 25-year career as an system Engineer for Sikorsky. With his love of engineering, he went on to teach as an adjunct professor at Fairfield University.  He was also an inventor and had multiple product patents, including his famous “Blendy Straw.”

Bobby also had a passion for woodwork from a young age.  This passion led him to become a master craftsman and highly skilled in all trades.  Bobby was a brilliant intellect and his love of learning led him to study and become knowledgeable in all subjects and aspects of life. Along with Science, Math and Astronomy, he loved magic.

Bobby had deep pride and love for his Greek Pontian roots and loved spending summers in his parents’ village of “Akrini.” He was committed to preserving and maintaining all traditions and customs related to his heritage.  He loved playing “Lira,” listening and dancing to Pontiac music.  Celebrating holidays and bringing family and friends together brought him great joy.  His love for his faith and culture further evolved into his desire to chant in the Greek Orthodox Church.

Above all, Bobby’s greatest accomplishment, however, was his family. He loved nothing more than being a husband to his beloved wife Toula and a devoted father to his two beautiful daughters, Yianna and Daphnie.  Spending time with his children was sacred to Bobby as was and creating memories together.  These were his priorities.  Bobby instilled his love of faith and culture in his daughters and taught them lifelong lessons to guide them throughout their lives.

In addition to his parents, wife, and two daughters, Bobby is also survived by his brother Stavros, his sister Maria, and his beloved grandparents Stavros and Palasi Moisiadis and Antigoni Poutakidou as well as a large extended family both here in America and Greece. May Bobby’s memory be eternal in the hearts of all those who knew him and loved him.
