Gina Palmieri

Gina M. Palmieri, 82, passed away peacefully Saturday July 2, 2022 surrounded by her adoring family. She was born October 5, 1939 in Torrice, Italy to the late Sante and Verlanda Marini.

She is pre-deceased by her loving husband Corrado Palmieri, and  daughter Carolina Palmieri Chacon, brother Philip Marini Sr. and brother-in-law Luigi Montoni.

Gina was happiest when she was in the kitchen cooking her signature meals for her family and teaching her grandchildren how to cook her recipes. She was an excellent baker and loved to tend to her garden where she grew fresh tomatoes, basil, mint, and peppers just to name a few. Gina's true pride and passion was her family. She was loved by everyone who knew her and she will be dearly missed.

Gina is survived by her children, Anna Mosback (Joseph), Angelo Palmieri Sr. (Lisa), Marina Peninpede (Stephen) and son-in-law Carlos Chacon. She is Nonna to grandchildren Angelo Palmieri Jr. (Tina), Eric Peninpede, Carly Chacon, Nicolas Chacon, Daniel Palmieri (Brianna), Emma Mosback and two great-grandchildren Angelo Palmieri III and Andriana Palmieri. Her siblings; Mafalda Marini (Lino), Frank Marini (Diana), Alex Marini (Kathy), Luigina Montoni and Maria English (David). Sisters-in-law Marie Marini and Amelia Porretti of Italy. Gina also leaves behind an abundance of Nieces and Nephews.

A funeral service will be held Wednesday July 6, 2022 at 11am at St. Jerome Church 23 Half Mile Road Norwalk, CT followed by burial at the St. John’s Cemetery in Norwalk.

In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that donations be made in Gina’s honor to The National Kidney Foundation.
