Georgios Andronikidis, born on August 19, 1948, in Ptolemaida, Greece, passed away peacefully on April 13, 2026, surrounded by his loved ones, in prayer.

He was the beloved son of Eleni and Anastasios, survivors of the Pontic Greek genocide, whose strength, resilience, and sacrifices shaped the foundation of his life. Georgios carried their story deeply within him, often moved to tears when reflecting on the hardships they endured and the opportunities their struggles made possible for him. This awareness gave him a profound appreciation for life and a perspective grounded in gratitude.

A man of deep faith, Georgios believed that a life without God is an empty one. He taught his children that true character is revealed in moments of difficulty, and that living with integrity, especially when it is hard, is the mark of a life well lived. He also believed that happiness can be found anywhere, if one simply knows how to look for it.

He is survived by his devoted wife, Eleni, and his three children Elisavet (husband Lazaros), Anastasios (wife Despina), and Nikolaos. He was a proud and loving grandfather to Stavros, George, Elena, Alexi, and Ari, each of whom brought him immense pride and joy.

Georgios will be remembered for his warm smile, his natural charisma, and the positivity he carried into every room. He had a genuine care for others and a readiness to be there for people when it mattered most. He found meaning in life’s simplest moments…watching his children play, being present, and appreciating what was in front of him.

More than anything, he taught by example. Even through his long illness, he showed his family that it is possible to love life, to keep faith, and to smile, even through pain and suffering. That strength, that spirit, is the legacy he leaves behind.

While he will be deeply missed, his family finds comfort in celebrating his reunion with loved ones who passed before him, and with his beloved dog, Feta.

His life, his faith, and his example will continue to guide those who loved him, and for this, we are forever grateful.
