George Dominic Swatland, 77, long-time resident of Norwalk passed away July 10, 2013. He is predeceased by his loving wife Wanda Swatland. George was born in Stamford July 30, 1935, the son of the late Dominic Swatland and Mary (Chowka) Swatland. He was a 50 year resident of Norwalk and a retired Sheet Metal worker, having owned his own business for 45 years. George was a veteran of the Army and an avid fisherman. Along with his wife, he is survived by his sisters Patricia Smolinski and her husband John of Stamford and Maryann Morelli of Danbury. Also surviving are his six nieces and nephews. George was pre-deceased by his brother Peter Swatland. He will be missed by his beloved family members and friends.
