Generoso Rauccio

RAUCCIO-Generoso"Geno" Rauccio age 78, formerly of Norwalk, died peacefully June 24, 2012 in Monroe with his family by his side. Mr. Rauccio was born February 2, 1934 in Italy to the late Domenico and Alessandra Rauccio. He served in the Italian Military and was a well known Master Barber. He retired from Bristol Myers-Squibb, enjoyed gardening and was a former member of the St. Ann's Bocci Club. Survivors include his beloved wife of 50 years Rosa Picone Rauccio of Monroe, his loving children, Marianna Lyons of Monroe, Domenic Rauccio of Wilton, and Luigi Rauccio of Norwalk. Three brothers, Frank Rauccio and Andrea Rauccio both of Fla; and Elpidio Rauccio of Derby Four sisters Concetta Tartaglia of Norwalk, Teresa Tartaglia and Maria Hemingway both of Fla ; and Carmela Battaglia of Shelton . Twelve cherished grand children, Rosamarie Lyons, Ryan, Ally, Matthew, Daniella, Patricia, Jessica, Luigi, Gene, Michael, Kevin and Isabella Rauccio. Many nieces and nephews. Friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Thursday June 28, 2012 at 10:00 am directly at St. Thomas the Apostle Church, 203 East Ave. Norwalk. Entombment will follow in St. John's Mausoleum. Public visitation will be Wednesday June 27, 2012 from 4:00 to 8:00 pm at Norwalk's Hoyt-Cognetta Funeral Home & Crematory, 5 east Wall Street.
