DeRosa, Gary David DeRosa age 72, of Norwalk, passed away February 11, 2012, at Norwalk Hospital with his family by his side. Born in Stamford, he was the son of the late Jules and Evelyn Davies DeRosa, Gary was a mechanic for 38 years with Hoffman Fuel and a proud veteran of United States Air Force where he served during the Korean War era. Gary was a member of the Disabled Veterans Association and A.A.R.P. He will be sadly missed by his loving wife of 49 years, Audrey DeRosa; two sons, Robert and his wife, Lisa DeRosa, of Monroe, Gary A. DeRosa of Bridgeport; two daughters, Natalie and her husband Brian Mydland, Susan DeRosa Cundari and her husband Rocco, all of Norwalk. Eight grandchildren; Matthew, Christina, Gary D. III, Samantha and Austin DeRosa, Rebecca and Richard Mydland and Rocco Cundari IV. He is also survived by a brother, Richard DeRosa and his wife Sally of Seminole, Florida, as well as two nieces. Friends may greet the family on Tuesday, February 14, 2012 from 4-8 P.M. in Norwalk's Hoyt-Cognetta Funeral Home and Crematory, 5 Wall Street, Norwalk. Interment will be private and at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations are made to: Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, 306 Industrial Park Rd.
