Franklin E Roberts passed peacefully at his home with his wife, son and granddaughter in Norwalk on the evening of June 24th. He was born to Gertrude Kent and Thomas Roberts in St. John’s Antigua where he was 1 of many children. He briefly lived in St. Thomas then moved to the United States in the 1970s. In the US he worked as a dietary aid for over 30 years before retiring.
Some of his hobbies included watching wrestling, collecting hats and keychains, and attending live concerts. He particularly enjoyed listening to reggae music from his favorite artists such as Swallow, Sparrow, and Calypso Rose. He loved spending time with family and friends. He often spent his younger days driving to New York and watching WWE wrestling with his friends. He would share his wisdom through jokes and short anecdotes. Franklin was reliable, compassionate, and trusting.
Franklin has been a member of Cornerstone Community Church, formerly Norwalk United Methodist Church, for many years. He was an avid churchgoer and wedded his wife Evet in their sanctuary in 2003.
He was cared for at home by his loving wife from December’s 8th 2021 to the date of his passing. Franklin wished to lay his final days at peace in his home in Norwalk, CT. He will be cremated and later information will be shared about his memorial service. Franklin leaves behind a wife, 2 sons, 2 daughters, 4 grandchildren and many loved ones. May he rest in his eternal peace in heaven as his memory lives on us.
