Francisco Correa, 81, passed away peacefully with his family by his side on Saturday, April 19, 2014 at the Norwalk Hospital. Born on July 31, 1932, in Medellin, Colombia, son of the late Alejandrino and Barbara Correa. Francisco was a longtime resident of Norwalk, CT he was retired from the Nivea Co. Francisco loved spending time with his family; he was also an avid swimmer, and a former serviceman of the Colombian Military. He is survived by his former wife and partner Maria Aurora Correa, his five sons Francisco Correa Jr., Jader Correa and wife Julissa, Hector Correa, John Palacio, and Hernando Palacio, also surviving are his five cherished grandchildren, Jader. Jr., Sebastian, Sarah, Eric, and Sophia. All of the family resides in Norwalk. Family and friends may call at the Hoyt-Cognetta Funeral Home & Crematory, 5 East Wall Street, Norwalk, CT on Wednesday, April 23, 2014 from 9:30AM to 1130AM. A procession will leave the funeral home at 11:35AM after the calling hours and process to Saint Joseph Parish, 85 South Main St., Norwalk, to celebrate a Mass of Christian Burial. Interment will be privately held.
