Francesco "Frenchie" Siano, a devoted husband, loving father, and master of all trades, passed away on September 5, 2025, just shy of his 45th birthday. Born on September 20, 1980, in Norwalk, Frenchie spent his life on the water and building a world for his family with his own two hands.
From his early years, Frenchie was drawn to the water, a place he found peace while boating, fishing, and working at the local gas docks. He also loved working with his hands. He and his brother learned everything from carpentry to electrical work from their father, Carmine. There wasn't a house, car, or boat project that intimidated him, and with a little help from YouTube, he could solve any problem.
While his talent for fixing things was great, his true calling was being a husband and "girl dad." Frenchie and Dana's love story began in high school, and they were grateful to spend 27 years together. He was a truly devoted father to Lillian and Francesca, and he took immense pride in raising strong, independent girls. He was just as happy playing with dolls, watching hauls and painting nails as he was teaching them how to use power tools and think for themselves.
A passionate gardener, Frenchie inherited his green thumb from his grandfather. He and Dana built a beautiful raised-bed garden together and spent countless hours every summer tending to their plants. His love for animals was just as strong; he had a soft spot for every type of creature (except groundhogs), and was especially fond of his late father’s parrot, Tina.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Dana, and their daughters, Lillian and Francesca; his mother, Ann Siano; his sister, Gracie Sassano and her husband Rob; his brother, Domenick Siano and his wife Stacie; his nieces and nephews, Juliana and Robert Sassano, and Giada and Carmine Siano; his mother-in-law and father-in-law, Nancy and Jeff Orkins; his sister-in-law, Nicole Orkins; along with many aunts, uncles, and cousins who loved him dearly, both here and in Italy. He was predeceased by his father, Carmine Siano.
