Florence H. Woodin

Florence Haven Woodin of Norwalk passed away on January 15, 2018. She was born in Uxbridge, MA and was daughter of the late Gerhard and Margaret Haven Soderstrom.

Florence is survived by her loving family: daughter Wendy Jerominek of Danville, KY, stepson Tom Woodin of Bethlehem, CT, brother Dean Soderstrom and his wife Patty of McKinney, TX, grandsons Paul DaSilva and his wife Kaycie of Davenport, FL and William Peek of Danville, KY, great-grandchildren Zander, Justice, and Porter DaSilva and Jordon Peek, and longtime companion and friend Ted Ristau of Norwalk. She is also survived by several nieces, a nephew, and many great nieces and nephews.  She was predeceased by her husband Ralph L. Woodin, brother Jerry Soderstrom, and daughter Deborah Lynn Jerominek.

Florence worked for Spector Eyecare as the Office Manager of the Stamford office for over 20 years before her retirement in 2015. She was also a member of the Antique Ford V-8 club and an active member of St. Peter’s Lutheran Church.

Friends are invited to greet the family on Saturday January 20, 2018 from 10AM until Noon directly at St. Peters Lutheran Church, 208 Newtown Ave., Norwalk. Funeral services will begin at Noon with Rev. Robert Beinke officiating. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, Florence requested memorial contributions be made to St. Jude Hospital, PO Box 1000 Dept. 142, Memphis, TN 38101.
