Florence Masi Mappa, 83, a resident of Norwalk for over 50 years, entered into rest November 30, 2008 at the Masonic Health Care Center in Wallingford, CT. She was the wife of Anthony L. Mappa. Born in Port Chester, N.Y. on January 15, 1925, she was the daughter of the late Philip Masi and Fay Resignito Keating. Florence loved to take trips to Cape Cod and Daytona Beach with her family. In addition she had a love for singing. Besides her husband Anthony of Norwalk, Mrs. Mappa is survived by her daughters, Judith Ann Mappa of Norwalk, & Linda Jean Robinson and her husband, Scott, of Hamden. She is also survived by her brother, Steve Masie and his wife Marie of Greenwich, CT and two grandchildren Danielle and James Robinson of Hamden, CT. Friends may call on Thursday, December 4 from 4-8PM at the Hoyt-Cognetta Funeral Home and Crematory, 5 East Wall Street, Norwalk, CT. A funeral service will be held on Friday, December 5, 2008 at 11:00AM at the Funeral Home. Interment will follow in St. John's Cemetery in Norwalk.
