Filomena Luciani age 83, beloved wife of the late Pasquale Luciani of Norwalk, passed away Saturday November 9, 2013 in Norwalk Hospital. Mrs. Luciani was born on April 27, 1930 in Capestrano, Italy. She was the daughter to the late Luigi and Bambina DiFiore. Filomena was a masterful Tailor and last worked for Best Ever in New Canaan. Filomena devoted her life to her family with especial adoration for her grandchildren. Filomena was an avid gardener and an outstanding cook. Filomena brightened the lives of everyone who was lucky enough to have known her. She is survived by two sons Frank Luciani and his wife Deirdre & Claudio Luciani both of Norwalk; a daughter Maria Thomasson and her husband Michael, of Norwalk; a brother Ezio of Italy; four grandchildren, Michael & Mark Thomasson, Anthony & Kristina Luciani. Friends are invited to greet the family on Tuesday November 12, 2013 from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. in Norwalk's Hoyt-Cognetta Funeral Home & Crematory, 5 East Wall Street. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday November 13, 2013 at 10:00 a.m. in St. Matthew's Church. Interment will follow in St. John's Cemetery, Norwalk.
