Felipe O. Marrero

January 30, 1954 — February 6, 2017

Felipe Ortiz Marrero beloved son, brother and uncle entered into rest in paradise on February 6, 2017. Felipe was born January 30, 1954 in Corozal, Puerto Rico to the late Gerardo "Hito" Marrero and the late Justina Ortiz Marrero.  Felipe is survived by three brothers Gerardo Marrero Jr , Eriberto (Avelina) Marrero, Mark Marrero and three sisters Juanita (Fermin) Felix, Justina (Luis) Cancel and Maritza (William) Dyer. In addition, he also leaves behind a host of nieces and nephews to cherish his memory.
Felipe was a great man. He spent most of his career working in customer service. He loved sports and was a avid baseball and football fan. "Go Boston Red Sox and Green Bay Packers." If you truly know Felipe you know he was known as the cards man. He loved card games and personally taught his nieces and nephews how to play various card games like solitaire, casino, gin rummy, go fish, war and many more. He had a skill for playing chess and dominos.
Perhaps his most definitive quality proved to be his selflessness. He truly devoted his heart and soul to the family. He helped others and asked for nothing in return. He will truly be missed. May he rest in paradise
