Fay A. Whitfield

Fay A. Whitfield, 83, of Norwalk, CT passed away on Sunday January 1, 2023, after a brief illness. She was born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania on August 1, 1939, the daughter of the late Ernest Ambill and Naomi Ambill Porter.  Fay graduated as valedictorian at Duquesne High School and following graduation from Westminster College, she began her teaching career in Math.  Fay moved to Norwalk in 1996.

In addition to her parents, Fay was predeceased by her husband Edward James Whitfield in 1995, and is survived by her daughter Vivian Andino (Peter) and 2 grandsons, Michael and Mark Andino.  Fay enjoyed attending every event that involved her grandsons: educational & extracurricular.   Many will remember her working for years as a cashier at Gregory’s, later Cranbury Market, here in Norwalk.

Private Funeral services will be held as Raymond Funeral Home has been entrusted with arrangements.
