Faith D. Lane

December 28, 1960 — August 24, 2024

Faith Lane, affectionately called “Fay” by her family and friends, entered into eternal rest on Saturday August 24, 2024 in Norwalk, CT surrounded by family and friends.

Faith was the last child of three children born to the late James Sr. and Vernice Miller on December 28, 1960 in Norwalk, CT.

Faith was educated in the Norwalk Public School System and held various positions over the years; particularly in the areas of finance and customer service. Faith’s open and direct nature led her to excel in these areas. She worked several years in accounting at the Norwalk Hospital before eventually marrying, and then relocating to Raleigh, North Carolina. During her time in North Carolina, she maintained a position within the State’s Bureau of Investigation-Sex  Offender Unit, prior to her return to Connecticut.

Faith was a socialite and music lover who enjoyed people, attending concerts, and having a good time. Shopping was among one of her favorite things to do as well and you’d often find her stepping comfortably in a brand new pair of New Balance; owning them in all color varieties.

Her dear friends described how they’d miss her and await her return when as a child, she’d leave every summer to go and stay with her grandparents and cousins in Virginia. This was something Faith looked forward to doing. .

Faith was a dedicated daughter, sister, cousin, auntie, niece, and friend. She most cherished her role as Mother to her one daughter Charmaine Spencer and her grandson Ameir.

She leaves to cherish her daughter Charmaine Spencer and grandson Ameir Spencer, both of Norwalk, CT; her brother Charles Miller (Karen) of Bridgeport, CT; a nephew Charles Miller, Jr.; four nieces LaShaunda Cole (Michael), Renee Williams, Jazmine White, and Jamisha White; Three Aunts, Madelean Holcomb of Norwalk, CT; Clara Johnson (Bruce) of Farmville, Va; Anita Jones (Jack) of Petersburg, Va.; and Uncle, Floyd Gibson (Naomi) of Farmville, Va. She leaves a host of great nieces and nephews, cousins, and childhood/lifelong friends.

Faith is predeceased by her parents James Sr. and Vernice Miller and her brother James “Juney” Miller, Jr.
