Ethel DiMichele Bonis BONIS-Ethel DiMichele Bonis, age 83, of Norwalk, passed away peacefully on November 5, 2012 at Wilton Meadows in Wilton, CT. She was born May 11, 1929 in Portland, Oregon but was a life-long resident of Norwalk. She was the daughter of the late Patrick Parks and Gertrude Parks Johnson. Mrs. Bonis was the wife of the late Stephen Bonis, Sr. and was a retired house keeping employee for Norwalk Hospital. She was predeceased by three children, Louis DiMichele, Patricia DiMichele and Vicky DiMichele. Ethel loved crafts and was known as "The Bead Lady" by those who loved her. Ethel loved to dance, especially to country music, and loved to laugh at her grandpets. She always showered her family and friends with love, affection and trinkets she bought at the flea market. She was also a huge fan of horror movies, the scarier the better. She is survived by two loving sons, Valentino DiMichele and his partner Stephen DeBenedictis of North Haven; and Ricky H. DiMichele of Stamford; two loving daughters, Ethel Schenarts of Wilton, and Cecile Dennis of North Charleston, South Carolina. She is also survived by a step-brother, John Johnson of Florida, ten grandchildren and four great grandchildren. Friends may greet the family on Friday November 9, 2012 from 4:00 to 8:00 P.M. in Norwalk's Hoyt-Cognetta Funeral Home & Crematory, 5 East Wall Street. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday November 10, 2012 at 11:30 A.M. in St. Joseph Church, 85 South Main Street. Interment will follow at St. John Cemetery.
