NORWALK, CONN. Ethel M. (Meehan) Bologna of Norwalk, beloved wife of Vincent P. Bologna of fifty-eight years, entered into eternal life on July 20, 2010. Born in Stamford on March 27, 1931, Ethel was the daughter of Earl W. and Edith (Bridge) Meehan. Ethel had a gifted soprano voice and music always played an important role in her life, whether it was a member of her church choir, the Norwalk Community Chorus or as the third place finisher of the 1950 Jenny Lind Competition. She passed down her love of music to her children and grandchildren. Besides her husband, Ethel is survived by her three children and their spouses Vincent J. and Peggy Bologna, Cynthia Bologna and Kathleen Moser and Mark Bologna and Barbara Roldan; two grandchildren, Daniel Bologna and his wife Kelly and Elizabeth Bologna. She is also survived by her sisters Ellen Minch and Ann Stillman and a brother Jack Meehan. She was predeceased by her sister, Edith Ryba-Dugdale and her brother William Meehan. Ethel's family will receive friends on Monday, July 26, 2010 in the main vestibule of St. Philip R.C. Church, 1 Father Conlon Place, Norwalk from 10:00AM to 11:00AM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in the church at the conclusion of calling hours, 11:00AM with Rev. Michael Boccaccio to officiate. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, Memorial Contributions may be made directly to St. Philip R.C. Church.
