Ernest Carbone age 91, a lifelong resident of Norwalk, July 11, 2014 in Norwalk Hospital. Born in Norwalk on February 12, 1923 he was the son of the late John & Felicina DelBone Carbone. He was a proud veteran of WW II having served in the U.S. Army Pacific Theater as a Medical Administrator with the 54th General Hospital. Ernest was awarded the Pacific Campaign Ribbon, American Theater Campaign Ribbon, & Philippine Liberation Ribbon. Mr. Carbone was a retired Clerk for the U.S. Postal Service and a member of the American Legion Post 12. He is survived by several generations of Nieces and Nephews. Friends are invited to greet his family on Tuesday July 15, 2014 from 10:00 to 11:00 am in Norwalk's Hoyt-Cognetta Funeral Home & Crematory, 5 East Wall Street. Interment with full military honors will follow in St. John's Cemetery, Norwalk.
