In Loving Memory of Emorfia Petrides
It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved aunt, Emorfia Petrides, who left us peacefully on July 24, 2025, at the age of 92.
Born on March 15, 1933 in Spilia, Greece, “Morfia”brought color, laughter, and kindness wherever she went. She was more than just an aunt—she was a second mother and a constant source of love and support. Her generosity, and unshakable spirit touched everyone who knew her.
A devoted family member, loyal friend, and cherished member of the Greek community in Norwalk, Morfiahad a gift for making everyone feel special. Whether it was through her home-cooked meals, her countless transport of family and friends when they needed a ride, or her beaded jewelry that she gave as gifts to friends, family and strangers alike, she had a way of showing love that will never be forgotten.
She is survived by many extended family members and dear friends who will miss her deeply. She was preceded in death by her husband George Petrides, her parents Milton and Elisavet Kydes, her sister Theodora Gavriilides, her brothers John Kyriakides and Andy M. Kydes.
Though she may be gone from our sight, she will forever remain in our hearts.
