Ella Mae Ross, 82, of Norwalk, CT passed away on Monday August 18th, 2014. She was born July 11, 1932 in Goldsboro, NC to the late Henry and Eloise Mitnaul. She was married to the late Arthur Ross for 20 years. Ella had three siblings Woodrow Mitnaul and Booker T. Mitnaul (both deceased); she is survived by her sister Clara Blount of Goldsboro, NC. A loving and supportive mother, Ella had five children, two of whom predeceased her the late Anderson Mitnaul and the late Sherron Velez. She is survived by her other three children, Earl Howard of Lawrenceville, GA, Alfonsal Howard of Norwalk, CT, and Debbie Ross Williams of Stratford, CT. She is also survived by her five grandchildren Tuneka Jones, Felicia and Shareese Howard, and Jeffrey and Brandon Velez as well as a host of nephews and nieces. Ella worked at C.R. Gibson for some time; however, the majority of her career was spent working at Norwalk Hospital. She loved cooking and gardening; her family members share fond memories of gathering around her table to share a home cooked meal and listen to the many stories she told. A memorial service will be held at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses (126 Newtown Avenue, Norwalk, CT) at 12 p.m. on August 30th, 2014.
