Elizabeth "Libby" Regan Elizabeth "Libby" Regan, age 94, lifelong resident of Norwalk, CT passed away peacefully with her loving family by her side on the early morning of Saturday, January 10, 2015. She joins her beloved husband Robert Regan,parents Henry and Pauline Wilkens, sisters Adeline Smith and Helen Gowell and brothers Carl and Garheart together in eternal peace. Elizabeth is survived by her loving children: Gail Stevens of Norwalk, CT, Tim Regan of Westerly, RI and Patricia Regan of Valencia, CA: 4 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren. Libby was born on July 16, 1920. She graduated from Norwalk High School in 1938 and married her sweetheart Bob Regan on Saturday, January 3, 1948. In 1950 they joined the South Norwalk Boat Club and spent 50 marvelous years boating out to the Norwalk Islands, fishing off of The Rock near Copps Island and clamming at Betts Island. Her children especially remember spending their entire summer weekends on Shea Island in Norwalk, picnicking, exploring and swimming to their hearts delight. Family and friends are invited to greet the family on Tuesday, January 13, 2015 from 11:00 am to 12:30 pm at Hoyt-Cognetta Funeral Home, 5 East Wall Street, Norwalk. A prayer service will be held from 12:30 pm to 1:00 pm. Interment will follow at Riverside Cemetery, Norwalk. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Norwalk Senior Center, 11 Allen Road, Norwalk, CT 06851 in memory of Libby Regan.
