Elena Orta Martín died peacefully on July 30, 2017 surrounded by her family. She was born on August 21, 1931 in Havana, Cuba and lived in San Juan , Puerto Rico for many years before moving to Connecticut.
She is survived by her children Patricia and her husband Kevin Bannon, Natalia and her husband Edgardo Ramos and Alvaro and his wife Linda Birbara and by Lourdes Jacobo, whom she loved as a daughter. She is also survived by her six grandchildren: Marisa, Megan, Andres, Alejandro, Julia and Victoria and by Lourdes’ children Gabriel and Camille.
There will be a Memorial Mass at 12 noon on Saturday, August 12 at Saint Joseph’s Church, 85 South Main Street in Norwalk, CT, followed by a repast.
