STAMFORD, CONN Eleanor M. Kline of Stamford passed away suddenly on Tuesday, May 12, 2009 in Milford Hospital while surrounded by her family. She was 81 years old. Born on April 30, 1928 in Duryea, PA, Eleanor was the daughter of the late Frank and Eleanor G.(Koshinski) Malkowski and was educated in local schools. She settled in Stamford in 1947 with her first husband of twenty-five years, Stanley J. Budzilek who passed away in 1969. Her second husband, James H. Kline passed away in 1990. Eleanor worked as a waitress for Innis Arden Golf Club of Old Greenwich for many years. She also provided catering services and co-owned the former Friar Tucks Restaurant in Norwalk. A devout Catholic, she was member of the St. Clement's, St. Gabriel and St Bridget's Women's Guilds. Eleanor was an active community member who enjoyed playing bingo, cooking, baking, crocheting and donating her time at the Bennett Center with crafts. She was also a member of the AARP. She is survived by her son, Donald M. Budzilek, with whom she lived with; her daughter, Donna M. and her husband, Steven J. Hall of Shelton; five grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; two brothers, Frank Malkowski of Missouri and Louis Malkowski of Greenwich; three sisters, Dolores Jacobs of Stamford, JoAnn Tarzia of Florida and Margie Young of Killingsworth, Conn; many nieces, nephews, cousins and Godchild. Preceded in death was a sister, Rita Tykosh. Eleanor's family will receive friends on Wednesday, May 20, 2009 in St. Clement's of Rome, 525 Fairfield Avenue, Stamford from 9:30AM to 10:30AM. A Memorial Mass will be celebrated at the conclusion of calling hours, 10:30AM. Interment will follow in the family plot at St. John's Cemetery, Darien.
