NORWALK, CONN Eduardo D. Romero, Sr. of Norwalk passed away on Sunday, September 12, 2010 at Yale-New Haven Hospital following an illness. He was 67. He was the beloved husband of forty-one years to Eva Ferreira-Romero. Born in Uruguay on December 12, 1942, Eduardo was the son of Francisco Romero of Uruguay and the late Lili Sousa. He was a retired Livery driver of many years. Eduardo enjoyed the subject of history, reading and taking Cruises. He also liked the sport of soccer. Most of all, his family, especially his grandson was his life. He will be missed by all the lives he touched. Along with his beloved wife and father, Eduardo is survived by a son, Eduardo D. and his wife, Lisa Romero, Jr. of New Rochelle, NY; a daughter, Virginia D. Romero of Norwalk; two brothers, Carlos and Francisco Romero, both of Stamford; three sisters, Mirtha and Cristina Romero, both of Argentina and Myriam Romero of Stamford; one grandson, Alex Romero; many nieces, nephews and friends. The Romero family will receive relatives and friends on Wednesday, September 15, 2010 in Norwalk's Hoyt-Cognetta Funeral Home & Crematory, 5 East Wall Street from 6:00PM - 8:00PM. Eduardo's Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Thursday, September 16, 2010 at 10:00AM in St. Mary R.C. Church, 566 Elm Street, Stamford. Please arrive directly to church.
