PLANO, TEXAS/NORWALK, CONN Edna (Duris) Cisar , 87, of Norwalk passed away on Sunday, December 04, 2011 at Assisted Concepts Residential Home in Plano, TX. Born in Norwalk, Conn, the third child of the late Daniel and Amalia Duris, Edna was the wife of the late Rudolph Cisar, who passed away in 1996. A long time resident of Norwalk, she attended local schools. Edna is survived by her daughter, Fran Dougherty and her husband, John and grandchildren, Elissa and Caitlyn, all of Plano, TX. She is also survived by her sisters-in-law, Marion Duris of Hancock, NH and Margarethe Duris of Morehead City, NC as well as several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends on Friday, December 09, 2011 in Norwalk's Hoyt-Cognetta Funeral Home & Crematory, 5 East Wall Street from 12, Noon - 2:00PM. Edna's funeral will follow inside the parlor at 2:00PM with the Rev. Nicholas Lang of St. Paul's On-The-Green to officiate. She will be laid to rest alongside her husband in Riverside Cemetery, at the conclusion of the parlor service. With Edna's devotion to helping others, it is asked that Memorial Contributions be made to the March of Dimes, an organization she supported for decades.
